“Pam & Guitar” – creating atmosphere that complements the conversation

The Origins:

During the later months of 2023, Pam was pondering a return to the “stage.” What kind of stage, with what instrumentation, and with whom were just a few of the questions. As of June 2024, with no prospects of finding a co-guitarist for a musical duo, Pam began learning chord/melody or solo guitar style, creating a background music set list for restaurant / lounge cocktail hour and business socials up to 200 guests.

The Service Model:

The “Pam & Guitar” repertoire can be described as 90 to 120 minutes of “timeless titles from the classic rock era” and several Pam Brandis originals, selected and designed to blend in with the fabric of the business social event while enhancing the guest experience.

The History:

Pam understands the hospitality business from the inside. This understanding is based upon years of musical performance experience in upscale restaurants and direct full-time, full-service experience in several departments of three upscale hotels. So, she recognizes the rhythm of the planning and coordination as well as the flow and general dynamics of multi-phase events from cocktail hour networking, to plated dinner service, to post dinner programming.

Going Forward:

Beginning early summer of 2026, Pam plans to begin reaching out to mid-sized regional companies that host customer and client appreciation events, employee awards events, executive dinners, as well as business networking receptions that benefit from conversation-friendly atmosphere–the subtle musical backdrop that Pam creates with a guitar.
